Noakes Youth Competes in 18ft Skiff World Trophy Championship

The Noakes Youth 18foot skiff is this week competing in SsangYong 2006 JJ Giltinan World Trophy Championship, which is being staged on Sydney Harbour from 17 to 26 February.
Joe Turner, Richie Snow and Kev Gilroy will be racing aboard Noakes Youth in the championship, battling it out against many experienced international skiff sailors.
At the conclusion of races one and two, Noakes Youth have finished in 20th and 18th place respectively, a great result despite the shifty light winds over the weekend. With five more races to complete, the team have a long way to go before the end of the series on Sunday.
Spectator ferries depart the Australian 18 Footers League Club (Bay Street, Double Bay, phone 9363 2995) at approximately 2.30pm each day, tickets $15 per person – so get out there and support Noakes Youth!
